Florfenicol Powder

【Main Ingredient】 Florfenicol.

【Characteristics】 This product is a white or off-white powder.

【Pharmacological Action】

Amphenicol antibacterial agent. Florfenicol irreversibly binds to the receptor site on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, blocking peptidyl transfer, inhibiting peptide chain elongation, and interfering with protein synthesis, thereby exerting an antibacterial effect. It has strong antibacterial activity against Aeromonas, Vibrio, Edwardsiella, and other bacteria.

【Indications】

Used for the prevention and treatment of bacterial septicemia, ulcers, intestinal diseases, and gill rot in freshwater and marine farmed fish, as well as red body disease in shrimp and ascites disease in crabs.

【Usage and Dosage】 Based on florfenicol. Mixed into feed: 10–15 mg per 1 kg body weight for fish, shrimp, and crabs (equivalent to 50 g of this product per 100kg of feed), once a day for 3–5 consecutive days.

【Adverse Reactions】 Long-term use at high doses may cause reversible suppression of the hematopoietic system.

【Precautions】

(1) The prepared medicated feed should not be left unused for a long time.

(2) Long-term use at high doses is not recommended.

(3) Dispose of used packaging properly.
